NICHOLAS CHALLEN – Founder

“Nicholas has been a supplier to hotels and restaurants since 1988 and noticed areas of cost can get overlooked when running a busy business. HBSL was formed to assist businesses procure efficiently.

He currently heads up 3 sections of the business, Energy and water, merchant card services and food.

We take care of the billing, contract management and source the best supplier for your business, providing a fully managed service”.

PETER COURTNEY

Peter has more than 30 years experience in the Telecoms/Comms Industry. He has built up a vast knowledge of the UK Fibre Broadband sector.

Peter project manages ongoing business for National Grid, GE, Murphy Group, FM Conway, Ørsted and many Solar Farm and Wind Turbine sites all over the country.

Peter enjoys surveying and visiting client sites and coming up with solutions for the Comms. He is often asked to follow through as Project Manager and ensures that the telecoms are installed, tested, and working on time. Peter is looking forward to working with Restaurant, Leisure Site and Hotel owners, providing communications systems and services tailored to their own requirements.

MITCH HERBER
With more than 35 years of cross-disciplinary experiences in the audio-visual, education and management fields. Mitch has proudly organized and founded a centralized print and media solutions unit, introducing leading-edge desktop publishing systems for several Inner London Colleges.

Since 1990 Mitch established and ran three graphic design and print companies with clientele including such names as Jordan Grand Prix F1 Team, FA Premier League, Cape Boards plc, Oki Europe, Xerox, 5 local authorities and many others.

Mitch has brought with him a vast wealth of Print Buying experience to HBSL and is a very confident provider of printed matter, across all of the genres, singularly or on a contracted management program.

Jeff Hillyard
Jeff has worked within the office supplies since 1997, in that time he has seen many changes within the industry.

On average Jeff will save an organisation around 25% on their annual spend, whilst also improving the ease of ordering.

MARK ALLEYNE
Mark Alleyne is HBSL’s copying/Print solutions specialist. With 25 years’ experience in selling office copying/printing solutions across all business sectors, working with all major manufacturers, the likes of Xerox, Ricoh, Canon & Apogee Corporation. Mark specialises in reducing copying/printing costs for businesses, whilst at the same time installing the latest digital solutions, typically achieving annual cost reductions of 20% or more for companies whilst installing faster and more productive new lower cost equipment.

MELVYN MANNING

With many years of Advertising experience, Melvyn has been a Director and Managing Director of Agency Service businesses in London. Working for a range of clients in several business genres. W H Smith, Halfords, Ladbrokes, Harveys Furnishings to name a few. With a great deal of experience and knowledge in general Marketing, Print production, Web Development, Brand Development, SEO and Social Media skills.

Melvyn brings to HBSL a wealth of experience and a desire to take the HBSL brand and services to businesses that appreciate ‘Quality and Service’ at the highest level.

Debbie has 20 years’ experience in corporate workwear, including working with Jeff Banks. Debbie has commercial relationships with most UK manufacturers, and is able to provide an off the shelf and bespoke solution to your workwear needs, whether it’s for front of house, bar and restaurant kitchen or elsewhere.

Andrew has expertise in the commercial energy Industry where he has built up specialist knowledge over the past 15 years. Contract management and managing carbon footprint are a keen area of focus, and of course getting the best deal! .
